Welcome
Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research and the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Alberta are pleased to co-host the 2021 annual conference of the Canadian Association for Japanese Language Education.
Under the theme of “Japanese Language Education in the Post-COVID-19 Era – Opportunities for Change and Growth,” we would like to share and discuss what we Japanese language teachers have learned through the online classes that started as a countermeasure against the spread of COVID-19, as well as the pedagogical issues that have surfaced. We would like to make this a learning opportunity to think about the future direction of Japanese language education, including the role of teachers and the way classes should be conducted.
For the French and Japanese versions of the program, please visit CAJLE's website.
We are looking forward to seeing you all online!
